Seventh Grade

Our 7th grade students meet one evening a week for both Hebrew and Judaica classes. Part of 7th grade is social; students have the opportunity to better get to know each other during dinner and snack.

Our Judaic curriculum focuses on a yearlong course in Holocaust Studies. Our 7th grade faculty has been engaged in learning from Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial Center in Jerusalem, on new approaches in teaching about the Holocaust in an age appropriate manner.

Our Hebrew curriculum focuses on B’nai Mitzvah prep. Students who demonstrate proficiency and test out of Hebrew class, and students who have already become Bar/Bat Mitzvah, are able to participate in Chugim – staff and student-run electives covering a variety of topics and activities!

In addition, our 7th grade program includes Youth Group activities and trips!

Typical 7th Grade day:

6:00 – 6:30 Dinner in the Youth Lounge with our teens
