Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees governs the affairs of the synagogue.

The Board meets every month throughout the year.  Congregants are welcome to attend Board meetings except for executive sessions which typically occur at the end of meeting. The Board is always interested in hearing the views and concerns of all members.  If there is a topic that you wish to raise, you must contact the president prior to the meeting for approval.  The president can be reached at president@northshoresynagogue.org or by calling the office at 516-921-2282.

Board members are selected by the Nominating Committee which is formed each year with Board and non-Board members of the congregation at the Annual Meeting in June.  If you are interested in serving on the Board, you can contact a Board member, the president or the office to determine the chair of the Nominating Committee. Board members are nominated for a three year term. Generally the committee meets starting in January or February and finalizes the slate around April.
