High Holy Days services at North Shore Synagogue provide a spiritual journey with moving music and a worship experience that transforms us on both a communal and individual level.
The High Holy Day experience begins with a reflective Selichot service the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah. We hold services on Erev Rosh Hashanah and on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. In addition, we observe the Second Day of Rosh Hashanah with a morning service followed by tashlich, the casting off of sins at Teddy Roosevelt Park in Oyster Bay. On Erev Yom Kippur we conduct a beautiful and moving Erev Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre) services, as well as Yom Kippur morning services, afternoon, yizkor and closing services.
Check for the exact service schedule over the summer. See below for this year's schedule.
High Holy Day services are free to members. Non-members may purchase tickets. Certain services are free and open to the public including children's services and yizkor services on Yom Kippur afternoon.
